Devoting themselves to performing songs from the oral tradition, the girls from Original’ Occitana wish to share the history and the culture of their native land. They are playing an active role in reclaiming their heritage, in passing it on and in promoting cultural diversity in the face of narrow-minded attitudes.
Traditional songs of the langue d’oc mingled with today’s sounds, the girls offer something for everybody, wrapped up in a crazy, party atmosphere. Between a waltz, “bourrée” and lively “farandole”, Original’ Occitana, from Marseilles, superimpose traditional influences on digital music.
