Mascarimiri

The basis of the adventure : the Giagniotti brothers' music.
Italian people, with Rom roots, they dig that mix for 10 years now !
They create Mascarimiri, Salentino quartet, promoting a local traditional music mixed with their Gipsy roots.
Non content with this cultural melting-pot, they also welcome several occitan-origin guests in their latest album (Provençal french, from the "langue d'oc").
On stage, it’s a real musical patchwork : arabo-andalusian tastes, flamenco sounds, balkan fanfare, napolitan tamurriates… The musicians make “the instruments of today speak : computer, distorsions, effects” and cross them with more ancient ones. “Here, tradition is alive” and brightens up each day the heel of the Italian boot
.
